  • How quickly will my order be printed and shipped out to me?

    Posters ordered weekdays before noon (CT) will ship the same day they are ordered. Otherwise the poster will ship the following business day. The delivery date of your order is dependent on the method of shipping selected. Use the form at the top of this page to determine when you will receive your poster.

  • Do you offer carrying tubes?

    All of our posters are shipped in cardboard tubes. We offer two carrying products: a professional plastic carrying tube and an elastic strap to attach to the cardboard tube. You can see these on the Accessories page.

  • What kind of materials do you print on?

    We offer a heavyweight paper that comes in either a matte or glossy finish, a foldable wrinkle-resistant farbic, and a foam board that has two vertical folds. You can read more about their specifications and uses on our scientific posters page.

  • Can I take my poster on the plane?

    The airline should have no problem accommodating your poster, although it's best to check with your individual airline. If you would like a poster that is easier to travel with, try a fabric scientific poster.

  • Can you laminate my scientific poster?

    We do not offer lamination on our posters. In our experience, lamination can create a glare that makes the poster harder to read so we offer a paper that is glossy while not being highly reflective. This creates a professional finish without compromising readability. All of our scientific posters are printed with water-resistant inks that resist smearing when in contact with water.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card and PayPal.

    Purchase orders are accepted from schools and universities. Please fax the complete written PO to us at 708-614-1974 or email to The PO must have a PO number, billing address, shipping address, our name MakeSigns, signature of authorizing agent, and the correct quantity and item pricing. If your purchasing department needs assistance setting us up as a vendor, have them call us at 1-800-347-2744.

  • When will my credit card be charged?

    Your credit card won't be charged until your order is reviewed and your proofs are approved (if requested).

  • Why am I being charged sales tax?

    We are required to charge sales tax on all orders delivered to Illinois (or picked up at our location). We are also required to charge sales tax in some other states depending on their legislation. If you have a tax exempt form, you can input your ID number during checkout and email us the form to have the sales tax removed from the order.

  • Can I use my FedEx account number?

    Sorry, we don't ship on customer FedEx accounts.

  • Can you drop ship my order?

    Sorry, we do not offer drop shipping. We can ship your order to any location of your choosing, but all of our orders are shipped with a MakeSigns packing list.
